As an aside I was running past metal railings which had sunlight streaming through them in stripes like that yesterday.....and it produced the most excellent (read blinding, possibly epilepsy inducing) strobe effect. I did consider filming it on my mobile but the jogging effect would have been ridiculous.

i just caught him posing like that. he had a stern look, waiting for his lunch as he was so hungry. the light was quite harsh but i liked the effect.

i think i know that feeling you describe - the light through the railings. it's happened to be on trains in the past, and it's very trance-like. i'd like to have seen it.
