As a teenager I knew everything....I'm still trying to figure out when I forgot it all.

Belated Christmas

This year the blonde kid spent Christmas day with his dad.

I hate seeing him go but in the interests of fairness it has to be done SO we wrote a letter to Father Christmas and asked him if he'd come to our house on a different day this year, He was lovely about it and asked of NYE would be a suitable alternative and it was.

Therefore Christmas came a whole week late in our house. We had presents although much later in the day than on a normal Christmas day due to the late night the evening before.

I cooked a dinner with all the trimmings and served it buffet style for 15 - and actually found space for everyone to sit!

Then i got flu which developed into a chest infection and due to the fact I needed to put all my effort into breathing (something I kinda needed to do to live) I am now blogging about it another week late!!

Oh yes - 6 of them in all and a stupid amount of CSI/secret agent/detective sets - he wants to be a forensic scientist after seeing CSI on channel 5 . You know the normal aspiration of the average 8 year old!

My house was covered in fingerprint dust and crime scene tape! So much more interesting than a pile of play station games!!

I have to say in our defense - a lot of that was books and activity "stuff" as opposed to mind numbing computer games

AND that scalecxric came in one BIG box!!
