Hard to tell in the dark but it's honestly a gorgeously shaped tree. I do have one more string of lights, but they won't light up until I complete the circuits with all the "motion" ornaments that attach to them. I may or may not run the string tonight. I'll see.

Not doing anything about ornaments tonight, though. I have laundry that needs doing.

That's beautiful! I love the colours where the light casts onto the wall :)

p.s. I may be out your way in Feb; just waiting for final confirmation :D

Euphro- REALLY? That would be *awesome*. Let me know. Also, it's really, really cold out here. Way colder than Antarctica in summer right now. We don't usually get this kind of cold until after Christmas, so if this keeps going, you're going to need plenty of layers come February.

Swamprose- I did break down and put the motion ornaments on last night. There's several that are just lit(mostly a bunch of star wars and star trek ships), there's some that play music when you press a button (some Peanuts ornaments) and there's some that move- There's a Superman one, and one where Snoopy flies over a town in a sled, and another where Snoopy skates across a pond.

Viv- it's a *really* nice tree. I mean, even as just a tree. It's 7 feet tall, and is very full all the way around, but not *too* tight (some of the ornaments need dangling room.)

I've never had a tree in my living room before, ever. And to my amazement, so far the cats haven't tried to climb it. Hydrox of course has had to be shooed away from the water in the tree stand many times (she has some weird water fetish.)

Dhamaka- I like how it reflects against that purple wall too. :)

I have NO moving ornaments. just a lot of guy stuff they insist is important.

the snoopy stuff would rock. course, I am the least in the taste category here.

Considering I'm about to hang up a Batman stocking, I'm not so sure "taste" really matters.
