15.000 years ago: Italy during latest ice age

*A bit of History and Geography /1*

During the last glacial period, about 15.000 years ago, this was the
shape of Italy. It was surprisingly different from nowadays. All major islands were connected to "the continent" and river Po was running for a long way where now it is plenty of sea. The distance with African coast was negligible. The Tyrrenean Sea was really a separated water compound.

Historians say that this situation went on until the X-XI millenium (11.000-9.000 B.C.)
Then, by some not well known reason, the sea level started to rise, the ice in northern (and southern) pole got smaller and all coasts of the world changed, with the submersion of all human settlements along shorelines.
Archeologists found remains of settlements of late quaternary, about 70 metres under actual sea level in Black Sea, near the ancient sea level.

The two tags reads:
(brown) Land during glacia phases of quaternary
(white) Area accupied by glaciers

But I have a big surprise for you...
