In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. The Three Wise Men's decision has been announced.

They advise an investigation into whether or not Lucia's case should be taken to the Supreme Court, which is close to the best we could have hoped.

It's here (in English)

There's a way to go yet, but now there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you - you know who you are.

(earlier related posts are here and here)

Thank you all - and thanks for the HL too!

Just to put the record straight, a number of people have been working far harder on Lucia's behalf than I

But if one person - one determined individual, as Carpe puts it - must be singled out it is Metta de Noo who started the campaign after becoming convinced of her innocence at the first trial. She has my admiration, respect and eternal gratitude.

thank you Viv, Maggie, SLG (am I supposed to call you WS instead?) and Geo.

It is a start.

Even though this was as much (and in some parts better) than we could have hoped I have no real feel for how long it will be before we have a chance of getting Lucia out - or indeed if it is really any more realistic to expect her to get out now than it was before.

The mood of those co-ordinating the campaign is going up and down like a yoyo at the moment and I'm not surprised. Incredibly even now it is nigh on impossible to attract the attention of international press - despite the fact that this country is home to the European Court of Human Rights!

Great news, Dhamaka. Good choice of pictures too, an apt illustration of the glimmer of hope and the battle still to be won.

and my two penneth, for what it's worth:
It is indeed great news, but the cork's still firmly in the champagne bottle. Lucia's still sat in her cell where she's been, tragically, for the last six years.
The more I learn about this whole disgusting affair (and I know a fair bit) the more I lose faith in "the system". This could happen to any of us at any time.
I'd like to add my feelings of admiration for what Dhamaka's doing.
Others: Metta de Noo, Ton Derksen, Richard Gill and people I've not yet come across in all this, working so so hard to put right this horrible wrong that's been done.
I hope to lift a glass of that champagne with you all some day soon.
All the best Carole.
(lovely photos by the way)
