Advert

hildegard says:

Despite lots of advertising, there's been no sign of Louis' owner. He was covered in engine oil when he arrived & very underweight. We began to think that he might have come quite a long way.
He has been offered a permanent & splendidly rural home on a narrowboat. As soon Louis saw the cat carrier, he was in. When he arrived on the boat, he immediately located & used the facilities, had a snack, & set about playing with the numerous toys provided.
It's a shame we couldn't find his original owner but he's clearly going to be very, very well cared for...

Aw, good onya for finding him what sounds like a very nice home! If his new humans keep in touch, let us all know how he's getting on!

He's really landed on his paws - the chap he's gone to live with is at home most of the time, so Louis will get loads of undivided attention. His previous, much loved cat had to be put down some months ago & he was just at the point of wondering about a new moggie when a friend of mine happened to mention Louis to him in conversation. I believe that the cat basket followed hard upon the mention...
Life on a narrowboat is brill for cats - they fall in now & then but haul themselves out without too much trouble and the solid fuel stoves & diesel heaters on board seem to be something like cat heaven.
