Amazon screw up

So it appears that Amazon cannot distinguish between a hardback book and a
paperback book.

On 2 occasions they sent a paperback version instead of a hardback version.

I phoned them and had a pop at the supervisors and then agreed to keep one
of the paperback books in return for a 10.00 GBP refund.

That's all fine, but now I have to hang around from 10am till 5pm on
Thursday for Parcel Force to pick up the other one.
Just frustrating, when it could have been avoided if the people in the
warehouse thought 'this doesn't look like a hardback to me', maybe they did,
but then just thought 'f**k it' and posted it off to me at my inconvenience.

Twice in the last week when I've ordered very specific hardware at work I've been sent VERY wrong items. Customers are not happy about waiting for their things, they aer even more angry when I tell them HQ fucked up and sent me the very wrong item again.

I do the IT procurement for Reading Council. Usually orders take about 2 weeks to come in. This is a timescale that I think is so beyond not acceptable. So when something gets screwed up by HQ it pisses me off something fierce and I have to deal with pissed off users who want their new kit.
