I've never seen so many people looking at the floor, and not one of them helped me when I fell into the chasm.

Caine says:

Terrific series. I love the last shot.

I wouldn't want anyone helping me if I inadvertently fell into a work of art, or did you do it deliberately, just for the craic?

taniwha says:

I've heard of this. What did you make of it?

harimanjaro says:

Caine - thank you.

Hobo - you should be ashamed, sir ;-)

Taniwha - it's not as if it has any intrinsic beauty or anything but it's hard not to be impressed by it, especially when you start to ponder on how it was made. The profile of the walls and the wire embedded in them suggest that it wasn't created in situ; I think they must have cut a channel and dropped it in, but it's a puzzle how they've done it so seamlessly. The really interesting thing is watching how people react to it, though.

Jane Doe says:

In liking it as a concept, I seem to be in the minority.
Love these, envious of the focus, esp having tried and failed to do something similar

harimanjaro says:

I like it too, Jane, mostly because it makes people act strangely. It's cleverly executed, too.
The focus is a result of the fish-eye lens - massive depth of field.
