The last leather bag I had I broke the strap.
I'm really hard on bags. I carry it 5 days a week so they get a lot of wear. So I need something durable. So I thought people may have suggestions of good brands.
I've had my Kensington messenger bag for over 3 years now, and it has seen some periods of serious use including carrying a metric crapload of textbooks for days at a time. It is a laptop case though, so may be bigger than you want. You may still want to take a look at what they offer.
Wouldn't a small backpack be bertter?
Two straps to share the load...
get a messenger bag by manhattan portage. they are just the strongest things you will find. couriers use them. i've had one for about 15 years and the damn thing just wont break.
Jane, I don't like backpacks. They aren't easy to get into and the shape is all wrong.
Nige, I love you. That's exactly the kind of thing I wanted to hear.
seriously, you won't go wrong with manhattan portage. they're cheap for the amount of use you'll get out of it. the straps are really broad & comfy too.
I'm having a look at them now. They're rather big though so not sure they'll be the best option.
Yea I'll have a better look when I get home. Looks like the DJ bag might be about the perfect size.
I really am a fan of crumpler for quality and durability if not always looks.
The best that I ever found was a cycle courier bag by Karrimor, but I have just checked their site and they don't seem to have it any more.
Looking in cycle shops would be a good idea though.
I still haven't replaced my bag so more suggestoins are always welcome. I need to get off my butt and find one. The bag is getting worse every day.
