From my hotel room last night, and then again in the morning. I kinda like the weird effect of the night shot (tweaked in Photoshop just to remove the fuzz in the dark areas, the rest is just how the camera failed to cope with the dark!)

I'd guess you were staying at the Tower Thistle (or whatever it's called these days) overlooking the St Katharine Docks and the river would have been more or less behind you when you took these shots then..

Yep - the grotty Guoman Tower Hotel. Lovely views, shame about the quality of the hotel - but the Hilton across from the office was fully booked. :-(
