I'm glad someone else thinks so Joker. Perhaps I've seen too much Doctor Who.

psychedellic world domination will never happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or am I just paranoid?

OJ says:

In a way it already has. I like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields as much as the next Liverpool resident/music fan. But for me the Beatles also symbolise all that's conservative and parochial about the establishment in these parts. With the Capital of Culture coming up there are elements of the local press who treat anything that's not ye-olde-Beatles-themepark as dangerously highbrow and elitist. It's a terribly patronising argument about nostalgia being the only thing the proles will understand. So for me the giant Beatles are already bestriding the city....

edit: And they're also quite amusing :D

Thanks Electic Sheep. It's my new phone wallpaper so I like it too.

When I look at that shot I hear that insidious marching tune from Star Wars, rather than anything by The Beatles. So it must be sinister....

Sprocket says:

Paul looks a bit puffed out to me, he will probably let the rest of the band do the majority of the domineering methinks.

16th Sep 2007, 22:45

OJ says:

You see to me, Sprocket, Paul is holding a guitar like a Father Christmas holds a blunderbuss.

swamprose says:

OJ, I never thought about you living in some sort of Beatles theme park. until now.

the Liverpool I know from you is somewhere I really want to see.

OJ says:

Swamprose, it's not a Beatles theme park just yet. I hope you do get to visit some time.

really like that second shot too. where was this OJ? i don't recognise it from the buildings...

17th Sep 2007, 12:25

OJ says:

Hope Street, Nige. The buildings are Georgian. It's got the Everyman and Philharmonic on it and a cathedral at each end. My end of town.

17th Sep 2007, 12:29

these are brill shots, they do look like they are attacking, like ES says the bluryness of the second makes it look as if your running away. :)

well done
