Hello and welcome to my moblog. Here are lots of random images from my life at home on the Isle of Lewis and out and about.

The photos are mostly taken with my iPhone 3GS, but I'll also be posting some from my Nikon D80.

You can see more of my photography at my website 58 North Photography.

Leaving without Loki

Today we packed up the house in Blackburn ready to move for good to Lewis tomorrow. Unfortunately we won't be taking Loki with us; just over a week ago she went missing and we haven't seen anything of her since. Although she was an independent cat and spent lots of time outside, she always came home at night, so we don't know what's happened to her and it makes me very sad. I'll miss her a lot.

Sprocket says:

oh no :-(

she is probably showing her indignation at all the packing etc . . . going on in her home. no doubt she will turn up again at the weekend and start sweet-talking the new owner.

Rachel says:

I hope that's the case (the new owner is my Mum), but it's so out of character; I can't help thinking something untoward has happened...

Hoping with Sprocket - my mate's cat got huffy about packing then refused to move; hiked clear across town several times until the lady next-door-but-one to the old house agreed to take her in.

I hope for your sake she returns Rachel - even if your mum keeps her, at least that way you'll know what happened.
