Eat my words! I can't ever imagine beating the Dawson at Scrabble, I
can only guess that you let me win.

Helen says:

Ouch, I will have my vengeance.

I really did not notice your score creeping past mine.

if helen had placed her final I between motor and re she would have created a polite term for road rage.

Congratulations, Steve!

Ah, Facebook scrabble ... I'm always up for a game and have had teh pleasure of being soundly thrashed by Helen.

Dhamaka says:

wtg Steve!
I get thrashed by almost everyone unlike RL scrabble where I usually do quite well

nige says:

Steve says:

I take longer over moves on facebook and play better, in real life I tend to chat and get flustered.

"'m always up for a game and have had teh pleasure of being soundly thrashed by Helen"

Me too... but not at scrabble :)

OJ says:

Ugly, fats and wincer are jumping out at me here. I hope there's no acrimony guys ;)

Dhamaka, I always do much worse at Scrabulous. It's because I'm never really concentrating I think, unlike a real game. Also, in real Scrabble you rely on words you actually know and only consult the dictionary in a dispute.

And I'm still annoyed that the dictionary doesn't know the word "saxon", when it is happy with such common parlance as "Fe", "Hin" and "Toc".

edited: Apparently I had transposed the words work and worse. I don't think Dr Freud needs to scratch his head too much about that one.

Steve says:

No Saxon! that is bad.

The only problem I have with online scrabble is not being able to rearrange your tiles. Moving them around helps me think. At the moment I have to use a piece of paper.

Lets send the board to Freud to be sure :)

24th Aug 2007, 10:35

Helen says:

But you can rearrange the tiles, drag and drop them on the little tile holder thing.

24th Aug 2007, 10:37

Steve says:

Hmm I tried that and it didn't work... I will try again!

24th Aug 2007, 10:38

Steve says:

I try to move them and they just bounce back to their original hole, how do you make space for them?

24th Aug 2007, 10:43

Helen says:

You put them on top of the tile where you want them to be, then they swap places.

24th Aug 2007, 11:17

Steve says:

OK I will try that

24th Aug 2007, 11:19

Steve says:

I see you have to be patient! now it works... thanks

You know, I think I made a similar comment to Helen after we played a game where she made the word gimp.

24th Aug 2007, 11:21

Steve says:

It's that girl, she is twisted

24th Aug 2007, 11:27

factotum says:

Isn't Saxon a proper noun?

25th Aug 2007, 00:05

Steve says:

... I really don't know
