This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

When I was a lot younger and before I became a writer, someone I worked for said "There is always a cleverer way to do things". The grammar might be rubbish but I believe he was right.

I still absolutely love my job. But to get everything done (and have any chance of getting the rest of the funds I need to get to Argentina) I've needed to find cleverer ways of working.

I need to find more 'cleverer ways' but this post marks what I hope is the turning point.

It's also another opportunity to give my heartfelt thanks to the people who have helped me get this far. You know who you are. Thank you again.

Great review, D. It really made me wish I had been there. I hope this is the turning point you've been looking for, and it's all you wish for and more.

Indeed, the "Work Smarter/Cleverer" approach is the way to go - taking a step backwards to go forwards and all that.

It takes a big bunch of self-awareness to pull it off and I wish you every luck with it.

Great pic by the way :)
