Me! Every day for a year!

nige, Joker, Mandy Et al you got a lot to answer for!

I am really not looking forward to this project as I *hate* seeing pictures of me and even more so, the strained, taken at arms length, grimacing ones of camera phone self portraiture.

That said I'll give it a go..

you be the words Torn & Ligament..

I went bowling last night with the guys form work. Half way through my second game, I slipped and fell over twisting my knee as I did so.

Went to A&E; this morning to be told that I have torn the ligaments in my knee. I have to stay off my feet for at least a week but ideally two, then I can do some gentle walking. No strenuous excersise or sports for at least three months...

Thanks Puddle, The pain is pretty intense at the moment, even while I am lay on the bed with my leg elevated.

That said it is nowhere near as bad as last night when I did it, I blacked out for a second after I had done it because the pain was so bad...

hildegard says:

Pain is good - it means you still have ligament. Total rupture leaves nothing under strain so relatively little discomfort.

May I suggest a stick for a while when you do get up? The joint's unstable & another fall could result in total rupture, or just more, different, agonising pain. Take the two weeks if you possibly can (also glucosamine).

Hope Borris is being supportive...
