The beaches of Fitzroy Island are not so comfortable barefoot. I'll
remember to bring sandals next time.

I remember thsoe beaches so well from my childhood - it was years before I'd ever seen a beach with actual sand on it, I thought all beaches were that uncomfortable!

It looks as though you had a fabulous time.

Thanks! My feet were in tatters the following day, and my arms were killing me (we went sea kayaking around the island and the water/wind wasn't doing us any favours) but it was really worth it.

Are you a Queenslander then Geo? I'd have loved to have grown up there; there's so much to see! I didn't get a chance to check out Brisbane or the Gold coast on this trip though.
