I like this photo. That's a very imposing building.

kevzz says:

Thanks. It looks like an iron gothic cathedral to me.

540air says:

Wow, that's a cool looking building. Where is it?

26th Jul 2007, 23:38

kevzz says:

Well, the address is on the pic.. LOL. But I don't know exactly what street it's on. It's somewhere near St. Pauls, was taking the out of norm route after work and came across this stunning building!

540air says:

I figured London, but wasn't sure whether it was one of the buildings on teh South Bank near where teh guitar exhibition has been.

But near St. Paul's is cool, next time I'm up there I'll have a starting point to go find it :)

kevzz says:

It's somewhere between Ludgate Hill and Old Bailey.

The running man makes it for me - it's quite cinematic.

27th Jul 2007, 12:12

i didnt spot the running man at first , then read oj comment, i really like the running man he doesa indeed add something to the pic.

27th Jul 2007, 12:20

kevzz says:

Yes, I reckon the running man add the whole dramaticness of the shot. As if he is running towards the light

taniwha says:

This is so good. Almost dystopian.

27th Jul 2007, 14:15

OJ says:

"Almost" dystopian? I would say definitely so.

Funny that backwards lamb didn't see the running man. That's where my eye was drawn first - I thought it was a very well composed photo which was all about the little man escaping the overbearing building.

I notice it's also Fleet Place, but fleetness of foot is probably an interpretation too far :)

kevzz says:

Dystopian? Yeah it does looks like the industrial age in the future where humans are running away from the machine, like what OJ mentioned

Very cool.

27th Jul 2007, 22:37

I too saw the running man first and made a connection with the title "after 5" and saw him running from his place of work, and the building kind of paled into insignificance as it was after 5 and all the work in there had stopped.

OJ is philosophical again. I agree.
