A 366-day pursuit in personal portraiture, presented by nige.

The challenge: to photograph, and post to this moblog, a portrait shot of myself, every single day, over the next year. Apparently, it's much harder than it sounds...

Perhaps more challenging: that i don't enjoy seeing my phizog in a photo at the best of times, and knowing that i'm probably going to annoy the hell out of the moblog community in doing this. So, sincere apologies in advance for this undertaking, but i just can't help myself. I promise to try and be creative, so you won't have to look at my mug every day.

Anyone interested in joining me? I think i'm probably going to need the company...

i've spent most of the day in this position, due to the worst back pain i have ever felt in my life. just the slightest twist feels like a knife slicing through my spine. i can just about hobble to the bathroom, which is considerably better than last night, when i got around by way of crawling.

swamprose says:

did you fall? I never had respect for back pain until I pranged myself and yes, crawled around. drugs were no help at first, but oh, the one that worked...crawl to nearest medical facility and get a muscle relaxant. it is not evil. it works.

minkey says:

Poo. Crap... Think all the back sufferers know what you are going through. I'm not one for heavy medication but it helps the recovery :-)otherwise it'll take twice the me over 20 years of serious back pain...swamprose is right, tis not evil

Nix says:

Do you often suffer this? I once woke up when I was a teen with such bad slicing pain i literally could not move from one rigid position, I actually thought i had somehow become paralysed. Next day, back to normal, as if nothing happened! weird. Now i suffer with my neck though, it sucks, big time!x

nige says:

its happened once before, but nowhere near as bad as this. no rhyme or reason this time either. your pain sounds completely random. has it happened since?
