Viv says:

love grey cats - too cute
they are all gorgeous

2nd Jul 2007, 20:14

minkey says:

They were really gorgeous. 3 or 4 weeks old, and so clumsy. The pics really don't do them justice but they were kind of moving all the time
D: you can get the grey one and then i could do cat sitting while you're away in argentina :-)
Btw i should be able to enjoy playing with him for a while as he's going to stay with his mummy. The little ginger one will go away
Hari, i don't think they stay that cute very long but then they are more interesting
Viv, I'm not a cat person but suddenly could have taken both of them home with great pleasure
Nige would it go with your minimalist theme :-)

hildegard says:

Aww, extreme Cute!
It's the little GrisGris who does it for me... :)

2nd Jul 2007, 22:14

minkey says:

Hildegard. I'll have to remember to call my cat if i ever have one and it's grey (even if not as quite cute) grisgris :-) btw grigri is also something else in french

2nd Jul 2007, 22:19

hildegard says:

Odd that in New Orleans, a "grisgris" is a charm but in France it's a "grigri"...

2nd Jul 2007, 22:48

JokerXL says:

Ginger, bottom right, a wee heart breaker!

2nd Jul 2007, 22:55

minkey says:

might be grisgris haven't picked up my larousse
yes you are correct ...loosing my french

2nd Jul 2007, 22:57

hildegard says:

According to Harrap's dictionary of argot, a "grigri" is indeed colloquial french for a charm. You're not losing anything, you're just much more idiomatic than me. :)

Wonder if there's anything in English that confused you as much as "le schmilblick" confused me? ;)

2nd Jul 2007, 23:09

minkey says:

Have you seen the show with coluche? it was so great i nearly wet my pants i was laughing so much....but much more older seems to remember was created by Pierre Dax...Must have been weird to understand
idiomatic like schmilblick...cricket maybe :-)

tried to find sketch in youtube but didn't

2nd Jul 2007, 23:15

hildegard says:

Yep, it was the old Coluche sketch that started the problem.
I think the nearest thing in English is a game called "Mornington Crescent" which is part of a very silly show on Radio 4 called "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue".

2nd Jul 2007, 23:45

minkey says:

;-) i'll have to check that tomorrow...might need lots of help to understand it...

2nd Jul 2007, 23:50

minkey says:

memories and lots of laugh. Un grand merci Hildegarde. My day started very well and with a cup of tea :-)
*smiling and jumping*

Caine says:

Oh my. They are *adorable*. I'm partial to the grey, Rick says grey cats are elves in disguise. ;D

3rd Jul 2007, 08:38

taniwha says:

and then one day, they are hissing at you when you're putting them out at night.

3rd Jul 2007, 21:31

Dhamaka says:

minkey I'd love to but it would upset Misha. She might not actually live here, but she thinks my place belongs to her

I also don't think it's fair as I'm away far too much

taniwha - not ours

Caine - I like Rick's idea, so long as they're good elves..

4th Jul 2007, 01:51

minkey says:

Good idea elves :-)
*going to see if any around*
