A 366-day pursuit in personal portraiture, presented by nige.

The challenge: to photograph, and post to this moblog, a portrait shot of myself, every single day, over the next year. Apparently, it's much harder than it sounds...

Perhaps more challenging: that i don't enjoy seeing my phizog in a photo at the best of times, and knowing that i'm probably going to annoy the hell out of the moblog community in doing this. So, sincere apologies in advance for this undertaking, but i just can't help myself. I promise to try and be creative, so you won't have to look at my mug every day.

Anyone interested in joining me? I think i'm probably going to need the company...

What happened today for you today Nige?

Me - found out mail server had lost a whole lot of my e-mails ... including one crucial one with a paper I'd been working on over the last month that should have been with the team for discussion at a meeting today. Couldn't progress without it. So meeting all screwed up. Very very cross.

nige says:

ouch. thats not good at all. sorry to hear that.

for me, our company is going through some growing pains, and the issues surrounding the changes are causing a few problems. we're changing from a bunch of friends running a fun business, into a very real company. i do have a full face of stubble at the moment, however, and i wear flip flops into the office every day, so i'm not in the ground just yet :)

Nige - that sounds difficult and takes energy to deal with ... especially on top of just getting the work that needs doing. I went through something similar with a community organisation a few years back. We went from a small volunteer run telephone counselling agency with a dozen people to a 60 strong professional body in a few years. I was proud to be part of it and really close to the volunteers but remember it as quite difficult for many people involved.

Hey guys... Sorry to see that yes there is crap going on today. Tani that's preety S...t....
Nige...flip-flop.... :-) hope the move to real company won't kill the friendship
seems to me it was general
What about mine...students were supposed to make an intermediate, and yesterday we couldn't get one piece of equipment pat tested, so had to do without and the day today collapsed...we are behind schedule and i'm not even sure we managed to make the key intermediate required to proceed to continue. Not only my reputation on the line but also my company. So not feeling too happy...
Group Hugs for everyone????

you bet. there are issues, but they are not insurmountable, and it's just part of the fun, really. the ability to spring helps.

Oh Minkey - I can empathise with teh teaching session that goes pear shaped. I remember running something on suicide prevention that seriously went off the rails. If ever I wanted to ground to swallow me up it was then. But then, you get cakes!

swamprose says:

shall I send you the other flip flop on springs? bounce back. you can do it.

nige says:

all is well, D. all is calm.

swamprose, i think that other flip-flop needs to go to another home. i've been spoiled by the one you sent me already. i look at it every day.
