If her PC is older than about a year it probably won't even be able to *do* the shiny animation thingies :s

She bought it specifically because it was eligible for the vista business upgrade, so I suspect she'll raise hell if the shiny stuff won't work.

As for now, it doesn't recognize the wlan device and just looks cluttered. Downloading drivers...

I've had mine running for a couple of weeks now and I'm very pleased with it. Very stable, intuitive, and yes; lotsa shiny gadgets.

Oh I think so, if you need to do something, find something, change something, you don't have to have three years of computer programming lessons behind you to do it.
It calls things by what they are for, suggests, likely options as to what you might need to do with them.
I like it.

I dunno. I get terribly annoyed by all the wizards and assistants and whatever... I don't want suggestions as to what I might want to do, I *know* what I want to do and all I need is the configuration window.

Thank God this isn't my computer and I don't have to deal with it. :)
