How can it be that the only day forecast for any rain at all, is Sunday?

Alfie says:

well, it's unfortunately due to the Azores high pressure which has been giving us such great weather being shunted out of the way by a vicious depression rolling in off the Atlantic. The storm will drag cold air from the Arctic Circle too, making it seem more like winter than May. This isn't certain however, we could just eke out Sunday in warmish weather.

Geodyne says:

Yes, it's nothing to freak out about yet.

The weather lately has been classicly unpredictable.

Someone give that man a job presenting the weather on BBC news!!!! :D

ViX says:

I'm a no for the BBQ now :(

paintist says:

Vix not because of the weather surely?

What time does everything kick off 540?

24th May 2007, 16:36

Geodyne says:

Sorry to hear that ViX, but having looked into what it took to get out to Manchester by train on that day, I completely understand your quandary!

Sorry you won't be able to make it.

24th May 2007, 16:43

ViX says:

Not the weather P, I was having transport issues. Getting from Liverpool/ Northampton to Mr and Mrs 540s house takes a stupid amount of time with a ridiculous number of changes.

Geo - public transport certainly provides a good chunk of the nations quandaries =/

Caine says:

If your weather people are as accurate as ours, it will be warm and sunny on Sunday. ;) Fingers crossed for you all.

540air says:

Vix - That's a shame, it would've been great to meet you :(

Maybe next time?

Guys, no worries, if it's wet we can still do the bbq with an umbrella and everyone can move indoors, or if all else fails, like mf says the pub!!

Sprocket - Don't not make it because of the weather forecast. Rain or shine, I'm looking forward to trying it :)

24th May 2007, 22:40

ViX, what about travelling into and out of London instead of trying to get across country? My last job in Leicester was working for Traveline, and I know what a pain it is to try and travel through the midlands in anything but a southernly direction.
540 and SLG, have a great BBQ, wish we could be there, and sometime in the future we will be!

540air says:

I'm counting on it at some point hobo!!

I'll make sure a glass or few get raised for you all :)

25th May 2007, 00:16

ViX says:

Would have been great to be there and meet everyone 540! :(

P - train fares were creeping up to £50 and I can't quite stretch that far on my unemployed post student bank account :(

25th May 2007, 00:33

540air says:

There'll be plenty more times for sure :)

How flippin' typical is that??
I'm sure it'll be all the more fun for it anyway.
