Reminds me of my teenage years completely obsessed with any plant that had five pointy serrated leaflets. It is kinda crazy how it grows every where down here though.

we use a lot of hemp here for knitting etc.

That's cool. I think it could be a very useful plant if the government here wasn't so fucking paranoid and ignorant. It grows like crazy, full of fibers and oils. I'm not sure if it would be practical to grow hemp and harvest the fibers on a small scale. Not to mention I'd probably get arrested.
I'm quite certain it was grown around here during World War II though.
What kind of stuff do you knit?

hemp is useless for recreation, but great fibre for knitting, clothes. A good friend's partner won't let her wear her hemp hand-knitted sweater over the border in case the drug dogs can't tell the difference. :)
