Finally getting to actually eat things I've seen blogged for ages. You can practically walk on this cream and it was delicious. Innocent drinks are great. Expensive, but worth it. I plan to try all the flavours. Last night we had TRIFLE for dessert and I'm having some for breakfast. why not?

You are indeed in good hands, the Dawsons are great hosts!

You should try the Longley farm cottage cheese too.

all simple stuff Geo - never do anything complicated
lasagne & garlic bread - night one which we finished night 2 with some chips to eek it out! and meat and potato pie on Thurs which Margaret helped me to make!
very working class trifle - swiss roll, sherry of course, tinned rasps, jelly, tinned custard, cream of course whipped by Linda,

and Wed they got fabulous apple and blueberry ordered from the village shop - cooked at a local bakery that was with the Jersey cream.

In the morning Margaret made us fruit salad

they also enjoyed sundried tomato bread from a local bakery with cheeses, ham and beef

I failed to get them to a pub or to Betty's - our days were just too full of exploration!

Last night Beth and Helen took us to a pub. My first pub. ever. The Adolphi in Leeds. It was really fun. We needed it after a great day of Leeds art and adventure. Leeds is a really neat town. Just my size, and full of students and lots of interesting shops. We finished off the day at Little Tokyo, a Japanese restaurant. The food was great, but the restaurant seems to specialize in birthday dinners complete with gongs, lights, sparklers, and of course a song.I think I counted five birthdays. Very exciting meal.
