Dogs. Fiber Arts. Occasional Cats, Trolleys & Trains & Flowers. And other moments from my life that I find interesting.
**Motorola ic902 - Probably the best of the (poor) choices with Nextel for a camera phone.
**Canon Powershot A430 - Oh, how I love thee, let me count the ways....Primary camera - if it a good photo, this took it.

We're officially halfway done getting this place ready to sell. These pictures show the before & after of the office - it was white on white, and is now "Bavarian Creme" with white trim. Not normally a color I would have chosen, but it was given to us - it was left over from the in-laws recent renovations, and there was just enough to do the office. Perfect. It's not nearly as yellow as it looks in the photo - I'll try to get a better pic later. This weekend we got the entire upstairs finished, including steam cleaning the carpets and declaring them salvaged - we were afraid we'd have to replace the living room one, at least, but Rug Doctor Enzymatic Odor Remover really does do a fabulous job as a pre-treatment even for old stains - the carpet actually looks better than it did when we moved in. Of course we could have picked a drier day to do it - they are still damp, but it's a nice dry sunny day today so the windows are open up there and they should dry today.

Next step - clean out the basement. Yay. NOT. Kitchen is last, since there is no point doing the floor if we're going to be tracking basement grunge through it. So this makes bedroom, 100% done, living room 100% done, bathroom 100% done, and office 100% done. Hopefully we can knock the basement out nights this week, and perhaps go so far as get a good start on the kitchen next weekend.

We need to do some landscaping work too but that's Don's dad's forte - after 40 years as a municipal grounds (read parks & cemeteries) person, that man can make a cue ball grow grass. Soon as I'm done here I need to take the dogs outside and do some raking and find any land mines we may have missed from the winter poop cleanup and get rid of them (it's not the dogs - it's stray cats).
