Sunday Roast

So after a few pints a studio six I decided that I wanted a vege
roast and that no one else could cook it to my specifications. It
really is wasteful cooking a roast dinner for one, but it was
perfect. Followed by some rather fine ice cream.

Steve says:

That is a "Realeat" roast which IMHO is far superior to the quorn one, it's more juicy and flavoursome

Helen says:

Better than my salad.

23rd Apr 2007, 18:36

Steve says:

But not better for you... physically.

Helen says:

Well, actually, yesterday's meal had halloumi. I think the only goodness in that is squeaky goodness. But it was delicious. Not bad for a BBQ without a BBQ.

Steve says:

Mmmm squeaky goodness...

23rd Apr 2007, 18:44

Helen says:

and scones.

Joe says:

halloumi is weird stuff...a cheese....that doesn't melt?....ungodly I tell you.

23rd Apr 2007, 18:47

Helen says:

Who wants godly cheese?

23rd Apr 2007, 18:48

Steve says:

Cheese should be dirty like Stilton but never Sexy or X-treme

FilbertFox says:

i am not keen on those artificial roast things, but i do like a nice proper veg roast. And as for halloumi, 'tis wonderful stuff

Martin(martin-at-e4effect-dot-com) says:

You're absolutely right about the Realeat roast - it's altogether better than the quorn one, but sadly much harder to find in the shops (makes me go to pill-popping Holland and Barrett whether I want to or not!)
