These are both cropped from the centre of a hand-held, 1/4 sec exposure at f4.2, 35mm.

one had image stabilisation turned on during shooting, the other didn't. any guesses which is which? :)

It's really weird - once the VR locks in (which is just about as the AF does), you can feel the lens moving slightly as you hold it, but you can't see any corresponding movement through the viewfinder.

Weird, but I like it.

was shot under fluorescent (energy saving) lights and I didn't retouch the white balance much afterwards (ie, I ran an auto wb). I also have custom colour settings on my camera, because I'm high saturation's bitch.

this lens is teh shitz0r. The only time I can ever see it coming off my camera is when I really really need that extra speed of my f1.4 prime.

I took nearly 500 photos over three days in Ireland this weekend. Am somewhat dreading sorting them all out..
