beth says:

yeah that's a corker

3rd Apr 2007, 13:08

OJ says:

Thanks. I can't take much credit - that low "golden hour" sun is a gift and my brother has a great stillness about him which makes him very easy to photograph.

I'd love to get a great shot of my sister too, but she's so animated, it'd be much more difficult.

What do people think makes a good portrait?

swamprose says:

I like the direct look into the camera. The eyes. good luck with your sister.

12th Apr 2007, 00:38

OJ says:

Thanks 540. I wouldn't think looking like a neighbour of yours was a bad thing...

ciao OJ
the daffodils: Tim Burton, "Big Fish".
have you seen it?

14th Apr 2007, 07:53

OJ says:

I have seen Big Fish mara and I even bought the DVD as a present for my brother. But I can't remember the daffodils. Remind me?

edit: His dad proposes in a field of daffodils. Can't believe I've forgotten that. Memory like a sieve....will watch it again.

Well my brother was born in Wales a couple of days after St Davids Day so the daffodil imagery is quite apt.

540air says:

No bad thing at all really. It was a thumbnail "Blimey, is that Andy?" moment. :)
