Arrow's flight

Medina, the old capital of Malta, was built with narrow streets with very short distances to the next bend. Apparently it was designed so that you could only see as far as an arrow's flight. It is a lovely peaceful walled city. Actually the last pic is from Rabat which is the town outside the city walls, rabat means suburbs in Arabic

The "bottom shot's" far and away the best "back passage".
Not sure I could fire an arrow that far though, get all tangled up in the string bit and shoot myself in the foot prob'ly.
