Their heads are still falling off. I have had to drastically reduce
the length of their stems to try to save them. They're supposed to
cheer me up, not depress me. I shall stick to small heads in future
and stay well clear of these cabbages (thanks for the identification
swamprose) on stalks. The jug's still good to look at.

I shall try not to blog anymore tulips for a while. Maybe I'll go find some cats.

For next time - wrap floppy tulips in newspaper to splint them, then stand upright up to their necks in water overnight. Also keep them away from fruit & it's wilting, ethelyne venting ways.
These peony tulips can be so heavy that a rosebowl's your best bet in the end.
Hope you don't stop tulipping entirely - lovely parrot tulips will be here soon... :)
