Knowledge pursues me but I am faster.......

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.......

.......One day, we will look back on this, laugh nervously, and change the subject…

Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.

I hear that in the Midlands
There'll be a Moblog meet,
Pints of beer and chocolate cake
That sure will be a treat.

Sir Findo Gask and Borris
Will provide a little class,
Just as long as little Borris
Keeps his nose out of your glass ..

Sir Findo, you can be sure,
Is not a high class snob,
He will gladly join you all
For a pint of Fox's Nob...

Doctor Moody and Nurse Booty
Will provide medicinal care,
Holding back your flowing locks,
Keeping puke out of your hair ....

Oh, and FF, please note, Fox's Nob is a Birmingham beer ...

Sprocket says:

Ooh, when is this? I want to go.

MaggieD says:

Read about it in the forum ....

23rd Mar 2007, 12:13

Dhamaka says:

MaggieD says:

D: just looked :) ... and thanks for the ELF link ....

Taniwha: I have tried on a few occassions to sign up for the Forum, but sadly, no luck so far .... but in my case it is probably my incompetence rather than any problems with the set up :(

23rd Mar 2007, 13:11

Sprocket says:

oh, it's a beer ;-)

23rd Mar 2007, 14:30

MaggieD says:

23rd Mar 2007, 14:33

MaggieD says:

MaggieD says:

FF .... BB being a good Brummie lad would no doubt have had a far amount of Fox's Nob in the past ......... dare I say that Fox's Nob does have a good head (see pic) .... there, I have said it for you ... ;-)

goonflower says:

Wow wow wow! It's me! In turquoise, my favouritest colour! And the puppets! Immortalised! How exciting! And you are SO spot on with Dr Moody sneaking booze with a straw there!! LOL!!!

23rd Mar 2007, 15:26

MaggieD says:

So glad no one is offended (so far) .....

Dr Moody and Nurse Booty are just ace .... I have done my research .... ;)

Sorry to say there is no high res version .... I just do the cartoons for the blog so they are hand drawn (for the most part) then scanned in in outline, then coloured in, adapted and added to in photoshop, and photoshop's default is 72 ppi .... have no idea how to change it so they look fine on screen ... have no idea how they print out ('cos I rarely do print them out) ....

23rd Mar 2007, 15:54

FilbertFox says:

BB says he thinks that Fox's Nob is relatively new addition, he hasn't lived in Brum since he was a lad (a very long time ago now).

I have said it before and i will say it again - you are a very clever lady.

23rd Mar 2007, 16:02

MaggieD says:

Why, thank you FF .... Fox's Nob might well be a new addition .... but a welcome one I am sure ... :)

23rd Mar 2007, 21:44

JokerXL says:

Ooh yes please!
I was driving around the York-Scarborough area last week, must have past about 5 or 6 pubs, cafe's and other places with "Fox" in the title.
Were you sending me subliminal messages?

23rd Mar 2007, 21:50

FilbertFox says:

nah, i could never be that subtle, i am more a sledge hammer on the bonce or a knee in the knackers sort of a gal

Essitam says:

Highgate Brewery is in Walsall,

They used to serve Fox's Nob at the Wharf10 in Walsall.... James seems to think they don't do it anymore there and we may be hard pressed to find a pub in brum that will..The hunt is on...

FOUND ONE.....City Tavern

Maybe as they serve food we could meet here??

Close to city centre if we get more than a few "small parties can be catered for??
