I love green carnations.

St. Patrick's Day is the one time you're guaranteed to find green carnations at the florist.

I know they're cheap-ass flowers. I like them anyway. So the monster brought some home. :)

ViX says:

Did you buy them like that, or did you food dye them?

They do it at the florist. They also have the kind that are white with just the dark green edge, but as I learned at my wedding years ago, they don't look that great when you mix the two.

I like carnations, always have. Beautiful pic.

You don't look old enough to say 'at my wedding years ago'! :)

I haven't seen ones with just a dark green edge... they sound pretty.

I'm not a fan of carnations, but those look kinda cool. :)

Daz- I love them. They're cheap, take dye well and last forever.

Pretty. I like carnations too.

daz says:

I dislike their scent and look - you're right about the other qualities, though. :)

(I'm also not a fan of dyed flowers, but that's a different story.)

bronxelf says:

Well. getting green flowers is often difficult any other way.

ViX says:

Oooo I much prefer those ones! Especially the darker the green.

Green flowers are very striking!

When its footy time here in Australia, the bakers often sell bread dyed to the colours of the teams in the Grand Finals. Its a bit icky.

bronxelf says:

I like both kinds, but they don't look as good combined as you'd think.
