We Brits are famous for taking time out for a cuppa - no matter what's going on around us.
We plan to put this theory to the test.

We want people to send in photos of themselves having a cuppa in extreme and unlikely situations.

The best mug shot will win a top of the range digital camera!!!

Add your photo – it's easy

Email or MMS your images to:

or to the shortcode: 60300 with the word 'cuppa' somewhere in the message

Sprocket says:

Totally surreal. How many mugs were destroyed during the creation of this blog??

Rich says:

I'm guessing none - It's Mat's speshul mug here, and the grass is very soft and springy so it probably survived easily.

Groovicron says:

I'm guessing none were broken as it hung in the air as it's artisticly correct for it to do so.

; )

Sprocket says:

could be a chai tea latte??

540air says:

I'd highlight 2 aswell, but also the last one. It looks like a tea fountain that is throwing out a cup, with 2 tea mushrroms in the bottom corner.

man you all be trippin', 2 ain't nothin' compared to 3. Last one trumps all, though. Represent.

540air says:

Yep, last one trumps all indeed :)

Attack of the killer teacup! If that cup is as big as it looks in the last picture, imagine the amount of tea you could hold in it...

I am disappointed in this. I can only assume that as this was posted by Mat, that this sort of senseless wasting of a hot beverage is approved and even celebrated by moblog. This had better be coffee, if i find out this is tea, i cannot be held responsible for my actions. I pray that Spiderbaby doesn't see this, i fear she will be finally driven to an act of violence, she may even tut.

mat says:

Ah, fear not - this was stunt tea, made using some leftover tea-from-bags in the pot from earlier in the day. Immediately after completing the series, I washed everything and made some proper tea-from-leaves so the pot and the mug wouldn't feel bad.

17th Mar 2007, 19:36

FilbertFox says:

still not happy, that tea may have led a useful life if it had not been slain like this

17th Mar 2007, 20:56

mat says:

it died for it's art. what greater act can a beverage achieve in it's short span? besides, this tea had long since suffered heat-death, and was stewed beyond recovery. it was a mercy killing as much as a swansong - euteanasia..

17th Mar 2007, 21:02

FilbertFox says:

once stewed, it is our duty to consume the beverage so it has fulfilled its propose in life. I am too British to allow art to interfere with tea consumption.
