This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."

I was too tired to put anything more than a smiley. Went home early today and feel poo.

There's hidden meaning there somehwere in that both subjects are dressed alike in black and white, but I can't put my finger on it.

That guy looks like he's had a hard day, or he hates Alan Carr. Definitely one of those two things...

Top shot is sad: pollution in the water ways :)

The bottom shot is interesting. My take is that he has just found out that he has made a loss on a share trade, hence the sad/mad face. Do people really use their laptops on a bench?

Thank you guys

Sprocket - I'm sorry. Look after yourself, don't go to work today and take it easy. If you have what I think, the cold will get as bad as it can get without turning into something worse

Jigalong - I was amazed that he was using his laptop so close to the road. I'd never do that in case someone tried to rip me off. You see it quite a bit in the City or Canary Wharf but both are well policed with good wifi areas. I've never seen it here before.
The coot?moorhen? is standing on a bag filled with concrete. The really sad thing is that the local authority responsible for maintaining this waterway couldn't be bothered to spend the time and money repairing the bank here so they just dumped several very large bags of the stuff at more or less the right place to shore it up. They look like debris and consequently the world and his wife throw their rubbish into the bags too:(

It's a coot; moorhens have red beaks.

I reckon the guy in the second picture is using Google to try and find out what the big red box is for: "I used to use them for something, but I can't think what it was".
