bobisdead says:

he was my friend and mentor...in music, philosophy, humor, critical thinking, aesthetics, literature, history..and he never even graduated from high school.

I was supposed to go visit him tomorrow. He died this morning...

here is an mp3 of he and I playing guitar together circa 1994 ...

Dhamaka says:

I'm really sorry. It sounds as if the friendship enriched your life and I'm sure he got as much from you as you did from him

factotum says:

I'm sorry for your loss, which sounds as if it were unexpected. Take care.

Sorry to here, Peder, I will miss him also. Your description is an apt one. He will be in my prayers alons with his sons.

Amy says:

Oh, Peder...what will the world be like without Wendell? My heart is just broken for all of us who knew and loved him, particularly his children, especially his youngest. His eldest knows how to contact me...please be in touch.

There is an extra star in the heavens now that shines on us all...his love and friendship will continue.

Wendell was s true friend and a brilliant child advocate. He taught me much and always had pearls of wisdom when asked for advice.

I will miss him tremendously. He was very passionate about his music and never let an opportunity to share the latest jams go by.

Rest easy big guy.

We loved you.

Crysta says:

wow he looks alot like Echols...spooky

18th Jun 2007, 15:45

bobisdead says:

As someone who knew both Echols, and WDK....they looked NOTHING a like!
Also very different people personality wise.
Echols was like a charlatan, or traveling salesman...going from town to town selling his junk. Feeding off of people's fears of child predators. Not really accomplishing anything.
WDK was a true guru.
Not so much in his computer skills, but his ability to communicate...and out think people.
