Puddlepuff says:

And you pay,.. how much?

19th Feb 2007, 12:54

chris says:

£2.99. A bargain I reckon.

I applaud you sir. I had a crash and burn today. I thought I'd totally outsmarted them when I picked up some "Tropical Fruit Salad" - but it wasn't in the deal! unbelieveable! It would have taking me well over £6. I got to the till and had to run back and swap it. In my blind panic I ended up with some sodding apple segments.

I have to stay off the chocolate cake this week. I had too many in the past couple of weeks.

Euphro says:

I alerted Mrs_euphro to this and she tried it in Cambridge yesterday, Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a selection, it being a Sunday :(

Yes but what does it taste like?

ViX says:

See, I'd love to take up this challenge but being a vegetarian and a healthly eater I'd find it difficult to break the £3.50 mark!!

hildegard says:

No probs, ViX - have you seen what they charge for an Innocent smoothie?

19th Feb 2007, 13:58

FilbertFox says:

So i did beat you by 20p! I would put in a clicky - but can't be arsed!

19th Feb 2007, 15:17

seaneeboy says:

Vix - Oh I think you'd do OK - you can have pasta salads and things which really push up the stakes (no pun intended)

19th Feb 2007, 15:20

ViX says:

I haven't seen a veggie salad!!

I'll have a look next time I go in!

shark says:

I used to play this game on my own. You are late to the party.

(Except the Meal Deal is £3.29 in These Parts, rather than £2.99 in the north which is full of Poor People.)

Helen says:

I want to play! But £2.99 for lunch is extravagant, especially when a can of soup and an apple and some water from the water cooler come in at under a pound.

19th Feb 2007, 17:13

FilbertFox says:

but once in awhile Helen - just go for it.

19th Feb 2007, 18:19

Helen says:

Maybe. In summer. I'll be more inclined to leave the office during the day then.

misspink says:

Hmmm... interesting... I may try this when I go to work on Sunday. Although I'm not sure where Boots is in relation to where I work. So I could be talking crap here.
