I am married to Spiderbaby and live in Banbury, Oxfordshire after eight years living in the USA and Sweden. I am working and training as a clinical scientist for the NHS in Oxford.

There are now over ten years of photographs on my blog! It all started with a photograph I took on the 1st of May 2004... It's been a wonderful journey, thank you all who have shared it with me, and made this blogging community one I keep coming back to!

Interesting things I read recently:

"Only one in five people born [in the UK] since 1975 believes in God".
Source: Prof David Voas, University of Essex

"For every dollar invested in the Human Genome project, $141 was returned to the US economy". Francis Collins, NIH
Source: New Scientist 27 July 2013.

I am Pavlovs_dog on PSN and would be happy to link up with Playstation-owning mobloggers : )

Too Much Information: The first album I ever bought was the Fraggle Rock soundtrack. Pretty cool, eh? I was only 16 : )

Crickson> Did you pick any of those up while you were here? There's loads of tea ball shops around here, especially in Chinatown.

Spiderbaby says:

Yes we did! This is one of those :) Vancouver is the best place for tea that I know! *must find more local purveyor of fancy teas*
Made some of that tea you get in an orange for Filbert Fox and BaggieBoy the other night - I think you now have more converts to Chinese tea!

Sprocket says:

Hmmm . . . I wonder if I could make a life-form out of hot chocolate???

10th Feb 2007, 18:15

Spiderbaby says:

Maybe you already do - only you can't see it... That's the trouble with hot chocolate, too much of a suspension to see the life forms in the bottom of your mug. Perhaps some form of MRI might be work for visualisation?

OJ says:

Mat/Crickson - do you know of any reliable online sources of tea balls (other than Ebay).

I'm thinking last-minute-pressie for someone and I've always wanted to try them.

OJ, have a look at these places:

Golden Teahouse

Numi Tea

FullBloom Tea

(They only ship within Canada and the U.S., but I'm sure friends could help out.)

Artisan Tea

Search for Blossoming Tea, Display Tea, or Artisan Tea.

OJ, I can get some for you in my neighbourhood, although I'm not sure they're the very best or the most beautiful...

crickson says:

Sorry OJ no idea. I check the big chinese supermarket in Leeds but they dont seem to do them there either. Although, it was right before Chinese NY so they had a few empty shelves.
