I found this while clearing out. The lower part of the label says '(Lisa boot)' [link]. The disk is a single-sided 400 KB floppy :-)

I wiped it about 20 years ago to use in a Mac Plus :)

Seems kind of appropriate to come across it on the day that PC World in the UK say that they will no longer stock the floppy disk.

Dhamaka says:

I read that, it's a significant day..

mat says:

is it? I thought the world stopped using floppies five or ten years ago. Surely this is just another headline-grabbing press stunt by PC World, like that time Dixons declared analogue radio dead.

Or am I being too cynical?

My daughter's science curriculum this year included an overview of computers and it kept going on and on about the floppy disk and never mentioned the CD-Rom. She wasn't sure if she was more amused or annoyed.

hmm . . . use Macs, haven't seen a floppy in years.

So, does Microsoft Vista look just like OSX or what - bloody plagiarists.
