Very nice too, esp. the top one. Were these taken in Canada? - isn't there an Ithaca in the US?
Hey Crickson, how's it going? Are you guys doing naything good for Christmas?
These were taken in the US. I was in Ottawa a few weeks back for a conference, and went to visit Kim in Ithaca, New York State. She's doing a postdoc at Cornell at the mo. It's a really nice area as it goes.
Just going back to Loughton for a week, then a week in Edinburgh for Ann's birthday. I guess you're staying in Canada this year.
yeah, I can't really afford to go home this year. I'll be back for Tors wedding in the summer, and I can't justify coming back twice. I'm going snowboard on Christmas day, then having hosting a dinner for other waifs and strays who aren't making it home.
You plans sound good. Say hello to Tor, Andy and Aaron (if you ever see him) from me! Where's Andy gone? Haven't heard from him in months.
No idea about Andy or Aaron - neither have been in touch with me for ages. At least Aaron has the excuse of being in another time zone.
What a beautiful waterfall. Reminds me of the wonderful ones I saw in South Africa!
Crickson> True, but I haven't heard from Aaron in over a year, which is a bit rubbish really. Plus he's pretty much in my time zone! Let me know how they're doing when you meet up with them at Chrimbo.
Factotum> Not sure. It was the lake next to Taughannock falls. Quite pretty, even if it was crappy weather.
Mum> Yeah, it's pretty impressive. Niagra is only a 3 or 4 hour drive from here though, so it was pretty quiet.
