list price 799.00, price used on ebay- they seem to be about 650.00
price for one that brought home yesterday- 424.00
(had been used for a very short time as a demo)

It's not the top of the line model, but it's very nice. I plan on hanging on to it for a little bit, getting a Serious work computer, and then giving it to a friend or family member. Although I'm starting to think this may be plenty for my needs, and maybe I don't need firewire 800 right now.

either way, I couldn't leave it there.

Nobody really needs FW800 - hasn't been adopted for enough hardware to get any momentum going. 400 is still better than USB2, though.

Intel is fun. Rosetta is good enough for everything that hasn't switched yet.

Hah! I was in your Store on Sunday- right behind Levar Burton in line. Don't *think* you were there- but since we've never actually met... Who knows? You don't happen to have shortish multi-colored hair at the moment- do you?

the Sherman Oaks store? (above Teavana?) aww!
no, hair is relatively normal now. I'm here monday through friday 9-6ish, usually hiding in the back or at the bar helping with ipod tech appointments. : )
sorry I missed you, though!
