It snowed like buggery at the weekend; very not normal for Vancouver. The roads were so bad I had to postpone my snowboard trip :o(

Sprocket says:

Some irony there?? You couldn't go snowboarding because it snowed . . . ?

I am so jealous. In another life I want to live on the west coast, there or San Fran or Seattle. Doesn't look like I'll get any skiing in this year, hope you get to go boarding soon

Beautiful pictures! North America seems to be having a lot of early and unexpected snow this year :)

Sprocket> tell me about it. I was quite happy when it started snowing on friday because it'd mean fresh powder on the saturday. Didn't realise it was going to bugger up my plans :( We're renting a 4x4 this weekend, so we WILL get up to the mountains this time!

Gael> It is lovely to live here, but I think the snow is always whiter on the other side; it's probably better to holiday here than to live, just so you don't come across any of the problems with that particular city/country. I quite like my Brit abroad status though :o)

Euphro> I know! They'd predicted an especially warm/dry winter here (many people didn't bother buying season passes for skiing), but it seems to be anything but. Still, I'm not complaining; I like snow.
