Blowing a wet gale and light failing - in short - perfect. Today wasn't a photographer's day. It was a watercolourist or poet's landscape with so many colours in the leaves, slate, hills and sky and every one of them too dark and dripping. Just lovely.

Thank you. It wasn't a day for photos but I couldn't let the moment pass unmarked. And I like the blue too....

they are very atmospheric. I know the feeling, sometimes you just *have * to take a shot, might not mean much to anyone else later but you can still be transported back

To be fair, camphones are great for just that. Too wet for the SLR....

that's one of the reasons I chose a waterproof compact over an SLR (apart from the portability factor) - living in wales you need one!

That's a very good point Parabolichobo. I'm having a renewed love affair with the land-of-my-upbringing-if-not-my-forefathers at the moment and it does entail getting quite wet.

we get pretty wet in Yorkshire too and my rather tank like 6+ years old Fuji finepix copes with all that and doesn't tax my brain!

Very brooding sort of shots.. romantic in a Heathcliffe sort of way!
