Hi, I'm Rick also known as Mr. C. I used to shoot with a Canon SLR, but that was a long while back. I got a new camera, an Olympus SP-510UZ on 11/06/06. I've added a Nikon D90 with a 55-200 lens to my camera bag in 2010. I'll get a camphone if Almont ever enters the 21st century.

I'm now shooting with a brand new Nikon D90 with a 55-200mm VR lens.

Rick says:

Hildegard, power is what I got here! compressed air, 110,240, 480 volts of electric power. 300 amp welder with a 100% duty cycle! I just burned up 25 lbs (11+ kgs) of hard face wire on these ripper teeth, and am still not done.

Factotum, I try to psych out all the machines I work on...:D

M_F. When that giant robot opens its' mouth, 37 tons of steel rumble to life and shake the ground as it rolls out and decides not to rip the earth to pieces as it goes out of hospital feeling really good with fresh blood in it's veins.

Swamprose, ripper teeth are the replaceable points of vertical daggers that a bulldozer drags behind it as it pushes the earth where it wants it to go. that cuts it open and softens the ground so the blade in the front can push it up.

Is that at BobCat Rick? did it all go ok there in the end?

Rick says:

I'm jealous, Maggie - I want a crucible! I'd love to have my own forge.

Joker, no this isn't Bobcat. This is Schirados Excavating in Glen Ullin. I only work Fri-Sun at Bobcat. The strike is technically over, the contract is lousy, and they are now instituting day/weeks layoffs, closing the plant. Everyone is going to be out of work all next week for sure.
