Welcome to the official Moblog for Maximo Park - the Maximoblog.

This is where the band post photos of whatever takes their fancy that they think might be of interest to the wider public, from the mundane (backstage) to the spectacular (Archis' hair).

But they are not the only ones, as this Maximoblog is open to you!

Anyone who wants to send in a photo, whatever they feel relevant, we would love to see. The more the merrier, the more creative the better.

after such a long time still the same questions :P
it's kind of a ritual.
at the first gigs they did he used to forget the words cause they're very similar.
(if I got that right that is..)

I think it's a great idea,it's different and makes an impact to look at onstage. But I guess some people might say it could get a bit outdated now.I agree,it's bizarre that that girl has the same red book...

Thanks god I´m not the only one,Clara. And I find very original the way he reads this song, I think it has turned into a tradition.

(Maybe the girl of the pic was only reading her shopping list)

char says:

i doubt hell do it on the next tour. it IS a bit outdated now. but also, the lyrics to "Once a glimpse" ARE really hard to remember, I always get them wrong. Xx

clara says:

@elena.Glad I'm not the only one, either!I agree about the tradition.Very funny about the shopping list!!!

anonymous says:

hey...I took the picture. You can't really see it on here, but on my camera, when I zoom in, she's copied all the words to "Once a Glimpse" in the book, and at the show, she was reading along with Paul as he sang the song.

2nd Nov 2006, 15:33

char says:

hell no. brand new were around first. theyre just about to release their third album. they are a LITTLE emo. but its good. i promise. Im pretty obsessed with song lyrics and theirs r some of the best...and not all nice. Xx

2nd Nov 2006, 16:15

clara says:

Are they disturbing lyrics,Char?

2nd Nov 2006, 17:34

char says:

not disturbing but there are just some really mean lyrics. which i think is cool cos love songs should have a dark side too. one song goes:
"Have another drink & drive yourself home,
I hope there's ice on all the roads
And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt and again when your head goes through the windshield"
and another
"I hope you come down with something they cant diagnose, dont have the cure for"
Cant see Paul Smith singing that somehow. Xx

I really like Deja Entendu, and saw B.N in 2004. Very good lyrics, "Call me a safe bet, Im betting Im not" and so on...... "If looks could really kill,
then my profession would be staring." oooooh nasty lol! but the tunes are great

oh and 'i am paid to make girls panic while I sing' lol

2nd Nov 2006, 22:36

char says:

yeh that panic one is ace! although it's funny cause i find that BN dont actually have too many fangirls? oooh also:
"my tongue's the only muscle that works harder than my heart." Xx
