Poor little guy :-(

Bandit has done something to his neck or back - he fell late last week
and seemed OK but now he suddenly can't lift his head, and his neck is
very stiff and a bit swollen. Not limping or walking strangely though,
so we are hoping it's a pinched nerve or something like that. He's been
given baby aspirin and is presently as you see - wrapped in a blanket on
the couch with DH, and will not be allowed any activity at all until we
go to the vet first thing tomorrow. Please vibe for this to be
something simple, my friends - if he's ruptured a disk we're screwed.
Vibes, prayers, good wishes, whatever you got, we'll take. I'll update
as soon as I know something.

gentle hugs and pats for Bandit! Good luck tonight and tomorrow morning!

hope it's nothing more serious than a trapped nerve or something which can be cured with anti-inflammatories, though it's probably going to cost you an x-ray - he looks just like my dog, and he keeps injuring himself too, usually one of his back legs.
vibes to bandit from a currently healthy Roly

Uber, he does a bit - only half as tall and twice as long :-)

Para, is Roly a dachshund too? Yeah, x-rays in order I am sure.

Poor Little B :(
Here's hoping it's nothing worse than a badly cricked neck... a few NSAIs, a heatpack or two et voilà!

Tori says:

Good luck at the vets.

Our Husky is very hyper and has injured his neck more than one time. It is always really horrible because of the amount of pain he is in. However each time anti-inflammatories and muscle-relaxants were the key. Hopefully you will have as much luck with an easy fix, but more luck with a dog that doesn't do it so often.
