Excellent idea. Now if only the powers that be would get more music into primary schools !
Woeful lack of it due to curriculum.
Never any time for it! Thankyou, just wanted to get that of me chest.

Cressida says:

Is that Chlo by the window there?

I know, Babs, it's shocking, the music department at my university has closed - this is a unversity that produced John Jones from Oysterband! (And Will Young... but let's not go there)
RUBBISH.

We have all this literacy hour and numeracy hour rubbish but is there a musicality hour? There's nothing to encourage creativity in kids these days. Even literacy hour seemed more concerned with the simple technicalities of reading than actual creativity.

Hey look, a dolphin.

That's imagination, kids.

Alison says:

Babs, some teachers thankfully aren't totally curriculum mad, a few years back my 5 year son whilst on school run listening to Radio 2 says "i like this, he's the king of rock and roll, isn't he mum?" It was, and I only have his year 1 teacher to thank for that, who was a total Elvis fan! Music was on in the class constantly - and why not? Thanks Mr Le Fevre
