This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. wrapping up last bits of the competition now. Will soft launch as soon as possible and launch properly to press next week. I still need your help so check the forums regularly please..

OJ says:

Nope, not at all.

A little bulbous perhaps, and in need of a leg shave... ;-)

17th Oct 2006, 16:41

Dhamaka says:

it is a huge spider - that last shot is just up really close - the spider's body was bigger than the lens - but I'm happy with it anyway :)

That amazing, well captured D.

18th Oct 2006, 02:29

Dhamaka says:

It's a nice phonecam - when it works, Walla_Walla, but I'm not the only person to have had problems with it

18th Oct 2006, 04:53

walla_walla says:

Well I'm probably going to wait for next year when some new phones do come out, I'm really looking forward to see the nokia N95, but right now i'm still happy with my D500.

18th Oct 2006, 05:37

Dhamaka says:

Hi Boet - yes I did, and I was lucky that the spider was too busy eating to move very much

18th Oct 2006, 09:15

Dhamaka says:

Afraid so Mandy

The macro facility only started working after a large red line appeared along one side of the screen (now it comes and goes)
and the phone freezes and has to be turned off and on again whenever I use the internet for more than about 5 seconds (even with google and bbc sites which are meant to be brilliant)

I'm about to give up on the k800i and am waiting on the N73...

*crosses fingers

jle says:

holely metal rock batman!! that's some whopper of a spider you got there... YEESH! it looks like its going to explode and all its sharp leg hairs will fly in all sorts of directions to destroy the world..!!

er ok not so much... GREAT SHOT though =)

18th Oct 2006, 16:00

Euphro says:

I've decided to wait, too, and stick with my K750i for the moment. It's a pity the K800i is a bit of a let down, because SE were pushing an open door.

18th Oct 2006, 16:00

mrs540air says:

Love the detail in these shots.

18th Oct 2006, 16:00

Dhamaka NLI & about to do some work says:

thank you jle!

Mandy - maybe. mouseninja says the new walkman one is much better but I've had enough of these handsets

18th Oct 2006, 16:01

Dhamaka says:

Euphro - probably wise. I just hope the Nokia I'm waiting on will be OK..

thanks Mrs540A

Jigalong says:

You have certainly done an amazing job. The fact that it has come from a cam phone, is unbelieveable.

19th Oct 2006, 13:55

Dhamaka says:

thank you Jigalong, frustratingly the images pixelate well before you get to the theoretical maximum macro level

19th Oct 2006, 16:41

JokerXL says:

Fantastic shots D, I almost feel sorry for the "prey" getting all wrapped up there.
