Dogs. Fiber Arts. Occasional Cats, Trolleys & Trains & Flowers. And other moments from my life that I find interesting.
**Motorola ic902 - Probably the best of the (poor) choices with Nextel for a camera phone.
**Canon Powershot A430 - Oh, how I love thee, let me count the ways....Primary camera - if it a good photo, this took it.

I LOVE this yarn. A friend sent it to me after I helped her with some Excel wrangling she needed done for her business. It is 8 oz. (1/2 a cone) of Jaggerspun Superfine Merino weaving yarn - a lace/fingering weight yarn. It is incredibly soft and the color is spectacular (was labeled Garnet but it's not - it's magenta). It will be a while before I use it - I want to be a lot more experienced before I tackle lace.

This photo is a little better than the previous one - the color is not such a shocking pink, it's much more of a jewel-tone purple. Maybe I'll try for a daylight shot tomorrow.

It is lovely.

Don't scare yourself off trying the lace knitting. It's so much easier than you think it is.

To start with, I recommend trying the 'Branching out' pattern I played with to learn lace knitting. My results from last year and a link to the pattern here.

I'll knit with it Alex, probably a shawl, maybe some scarves too. I just learned to knit a short time ago - same time as yourhermione. I was inspired by her success at it :-)

I would want to try socks with it. I don't think I'm going to be much of a lace knitter. I love the colour it looks in the picture.
