The good, the bad....

The good is POCKY!!! YAY!! Finally I get to have some! I let out an
embarrassingly loud WHOOP in the grocery store, which made me cough,
which leads us to the bad.....I've taken this damned thing far too often
in the last 24 hours. Lung infection of some ilk. Why, you ask, have I
not gone to the doctor? Because my doctor, who is also my
pulmonologist, managed to get his license to practice suspended last
week, and I hadn't gotten around to choosing a new doctor yet. I shall
be on the phone first thing tomorrow though - a local practice with 4
docs has been recommended to us by a variety of folks, so hopefully they
are taking new patients and can see me tomorrow or Friday, even without
my records.

ETA - Sinus infection & Bronchitis. Augmentin is on order and rest. I'll work for a bit tomorrow since the project I am doing is sit-down, and rest all weekend. Ended up seeing the sinus doc since the primary doctor hunt wasn't going well. DH did get us lined up with someone on his lunch break but I'd have had to wait to Friday to see someone. So that's the scoop!

Ach, bummer. Agree, more Pocky obviously indicated, am only surprised it wasn't on your scrip. There, there...

eek, as a sufferer of lung disorders, I can sympathise....hope you're better soon.

Poor you! Glad to see that you located some Pocky, but very sorry to hear about your lung infection and doctor problems. I hope it all gets sorted out quickly.

factotum says:

and just WHY did your doctor have his license suspended?
Like antibiotics, pockies must be taken until the entire container is empty. Are you well supplied?

Factotum, I'm not sure but I have my suspicions. He was always a very good doctor - and absolutely awful at the administration end of things. I think some things like scheduling tests, reporting results, or in-hospital follow-up probably slipped through the cracks and it ended up hurting or killing someone. We have a new doc now and there is a new pulmonologist in the area that I have heard excellent reports on so I expect I shall be seeing her before too long.
