Take a big jar, half fill it with root ginger and then top up with white
rum. Roll the jar every day for two weeks until the rum turns a golden
colour. Serve in shot glasses. Cheers :)

Can't see why not. It's a Jamaican recipee so rum is the spirit of choice.
